Import /Export Procedure - Introduction

Papua New Guinea is primarily an agricultural and self-dependant sovereign nation. Due to political and economical changes it has adapt to import products from the outside world and export from Papua New Guinea. Today it is mainly importing;

• manufactured goods
• food
• fuels
• and chemicals

  And exporting mainly;

• oil
• gold
• copper ore
• logs
• palm oil
• coffee
• cocoa
• crayfish and prawns

  The PNG Customs Department plays a vital role in this regard in the economy.
